Uranus & Trauma (and the coming Uranus/Jupiter conjunction)

Uranus, the god of the heavens, was usurped and castrated by his very own son, Saturn! The planet was discovered between the two major revolutions of democracy, the US and the French. Astrologers have long emphasized Uranus's positive aspects. When I was learning astrology over 30 years ago, all I heard about it was that it ruled revolutions, humanitarianism, Aquarius, and genius. But Uranus is so much more, and it’s not all pretty pink with a cherry on top.

Truth is Uranus rules trauma, narcissism, electricity, the internet, television, lightening, the human neurological system, neuro-divergence, ETs, UFOs, being different, awakenings, precognition, the future, cutting-edge technology, rebellion, extremism, radicalism both left and right, alienation, neglect, disassociation, friendship, humanitarian organizations, groups. I could go on, but as you can see, Uranus rules some pretty great things and some pretty awful things, which is why it is “neutral.” But it isn’t really neutral at all. It is extreme in every way, from awesome to terrible.
