Almost twenty years into the Federalist Society's project to capture the judicial branch (see Part 1), Bush v. Gore became the first publicly visible outbreak of their Machiavellian scheme. After years of widdling away at the lower courts, stacking them with right-wing judges and Republicans pushing Fedearlist Society members onto the Supreme Court, we had the first democratic crisis. At the time, we hoped it was an anomaly. In reality, it was the blister showing just before a shingles outbreak. Below is the Supreme Court on the day of the ill-fated decision to disallow our democracy to count the votes. It was that day we skipped the rails, and our democracy headed toward its current unraveling.
Besides the stellium in Sagittarius at the top of the chart squaring the natal Mercury and Sun of the Supreme Court, look at where Uranus is; it is conjunct with the natal Pluto within a degree.
The transiting Sun in Sagittarius conjunct Chiron conjunct, Mercury, and Pluto conjunct Ceres, squaring the natal Sun, Saturn, and Mercury in Pisces - wow. Let’s pull all of that apart first. That massive stellium in Sagittarius kicked off the area of legal changes to come. Just like the massive stellium in Capricorn brought us to economic collapse through Covid. This was a sea change, a 180 in how the court had worked until then. The stellium shows us we have a new ideology, one in which the court was now the law, and this new idea was in conflict (square) with the firm, compassionate intentions of the natal chart.
