5/11/24 - The Federalist Society and its influence on the Supreme Court

We think of the Supreme Court as going downhill since the Trump administration, but the right-wing radicalization of the judicial branch has been going on for decades. It only became impossible to ignore during the Trump years. Drunky, Beer McGee (Brett Kavanaugh), and the Handmaid’s Tale Wife (Amy Coney Barret), when the almost clown-like extremists joined the ranks during the Trump years. However, it didn’t start with them. We will trace the beginning of the clown show, the captured arm of our government. It has been and will be critical to the crumbling of our democracy if we let it. How do we fix it? We will have to demand a constitutional re-write of lifetime appointments without any check on power, but that may not be possible until we are at the edge of collapse. Perhaps this is the karmic reason we are still dealing with Trump, but I digress.
