You may be wondering why Denise is bringing up Nikki Haley. I forgot about her. It seems like years ago, she was running against Trump. Ironically, I wrote that sentence at the beginning of this week before Nikki Haley resurfaced, saying she now pledges allegiance to planet Trump. Why now? Well, Nikki Haley sees the possibility that Trump will be convicted; if that happens, she knows the RNC will have a conundrum. Will the RNC nominate a convicted felon? Even if he’s appealing the decision and not on house arrest or in prison? If the RNC hasn’t sunk low enough already, putting up dear felon would guarantee the exit of at least half the conference. On the other hand, not putting up dear felon will piss off the other half. Does the RNC want to put a convicted felon at the top of their ticket? Sources say no. This is not just a losing proposition. It ensures the evisceration of all down-ballot Republicans. If they don’t see it now, they will once July 15 rolls around, and they are faced with their Faustian bargain.
