Last spring, I had visions of escalating violence on our soil, vivid images of civil war, and war spreading around the globe. It is apparent to most people paying attention now that Trump will push our society, laws, and people to the breaking point. One can only bully someone so much before they break. I’ve heard many people recount being bullied relentlessly. They often tried to run, hide, and avoid conflict until finally, one day, they lost it and pounded their bully into submission with their fists. From that day forward, the bully left them alone.
Bullies only respond to what they think of as “strength,” meaning violence. They do not respect anyone who capitulates, hides, or avoids conflict with them. Gone unchecked, bullies become killers. Bullies think rules and laws are for others and might make right for them. The longer they go unchecked, the more dangerous and out of control they become. In this case, we have a schoolyard bully who has been elevated to the presidency even after 34 felony convictions because the Supreme Court (who he is now being bullying, ironic) saved his sorry ass from accountability. Anyone with half a brain could have figured out he would turn his ire on them, but who thought John Roberts had half a brain? Not me.
We are on the precipice of losing our democracy. But take heart, while the Democrats and Republicans, the courts and the media will not save us, we will save ourselves. Like the kid who is being pounded day after day by the bully, the American public will break, and people will organize to protect themselves from the enemy (Russia), who corrupted and put into office the enemy within (Trump). Sure, the bully will always have a small cadre of bully friends who feel it’s better to stand behind the bully than stand up to him. Those people have thrown their lot in with Trump, and they will suffer the consequences of their Faustian bargain just as Giuliani, Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, and Roger Stone all did. At least a quarter of them figured out who Trump was once they paid the price for his lawlessness (Cohen).
I believe in free will and that we have the power to change things. However, I also believe in fate. Some things have to be dealt with. This period in American history is one of the later ones. I’ve been having visions about it since I was a child. I will post earlier relevant Spirit Speaks for you to dig into if interested at the end of this piece. For now, I will focus on the following information I have gotten. Here are excerpts from my journal:
