In the past few weeks, I have woken up with strange pieces of information about Donald Trump and Elon Musk running through my head. It’s always deep into the night, around 3 AM, and I can’t find my glasses, so I try to type what I can into my phone without waking my snoring husband. Often, the next day, the text is misspelled by hitting the wrong letters with my disobedient thumbs. I can’t see up close at all. I’ve been farsighted since childhood (ironic, isn’t it). In the morning, I try to piece the dreams together in the light of day, sometimes to no avail.
