Spirit Speaks

Prophecy and poetry are the same language. Layers of meaning are embedded in imagery that continues to evolve, like a lily opening in the sunlight. Even for the person who receives spirit gifts the language is fractal and unfolds often in unexpected ways. Sometimes, it can be straightforward and literal, and at other times, symbolic and complex. This is a sticky realm that takes great patience, time, and dedication to navigate. It is not a straight road, and often, on the path, one finds radical, unexpected turns; because of this, many abandon the journey. People often discard their knowings, little whispers, and visions as fantasy or fiction. Like everything else, the spirit takes dedication, patience, and constant attention.

For most of you reading this, you will experience people disregarding this sacred part of you, your truth, your knowing. It may not always happen, but it will happen or may have been the case in your family of origin or with a partner or friend. They are entitled to their limited understanding of reality just as you are entitled to your multi-dimensional one. Most people can not tolerate mystery, diversity, and complexity. Life is lived straight and logically, little is questioned, and the road appears obvious. They follow in the footsteps of their leaders, parents, and community. Things are real because everyone believes them. They do not look past the surface to see the misinterpretations and misperceptions they inadvertently adopt.
