Once Navalny decided to return to Russia, my first thought was, “Why is he doing this? He’s going to be murdered.” If I thought this - he, his family, his wife, and most of the world thought it. Now, another Russian election rolled around, and Navalny suddenly died in the gulag system of prisons far up in the Arctic Circle. We will examine Navalny’s life, death, and spiritual purpose in this piece through his natal chart, nodes, progressions, and transits. Below is the chart of Navalny’s murder on February 16, 2024, at 2:17 PM local time.

There are three houses of endings in astrology: the 4th, 8th, and 12th houses. This means that aspects indicating death are more potent in these houses. A Neptune opposition, conjunction, or square can mean a lot of things: confusion, delusion, identity issues, and drug problems, but when it is happening or coming from the 4th, 8th, or 12th houses, it indicates the possibility of death. In astrology, we don’t prognosticate death; however, there are windows when that possibility is better than other times. Looking at Nevalny’s chart, we can see transiting Neptune going through his 6th house of health. Neptune rules poison, chemistry, and exhaustion, especially in the house of health. We know that he had been poisoned on August 20, 2020. Neptune was also in his 6th house then, but he fought through it. I’ll look into that a little later.

Nevalny’s progressed Mars in Virgo in the 12th house was opposing transiting Neptune in Pisces in his 6th house of health the day he died. Both were exactly at 26 degrees. Besides the exhaustion of being worked to death in the gulag, this is a clear poisoning signature, which we will see in the next chart when we know for sure he was poisoned. Besides that, the transiting Moon in Taurus was conjunct the ruler of his 1st (his body), and 12th house (endings). Saturn was making a grand square from his 6th house, squaring his natal Sun/Venus in Gemini and Neptune in Sagittarius and opposing his progressed Saturn in the 12th house. The exactness of the Mars/Neptune opposition coupled with the grand square tells us this time, he was poisoned, and it was too much for him.

The above chart is the first poisoning of Navalny. Transiting Neptune, the ruler of poison, the other side, and comas, opposed the transiting Moon in the 12th house. He was put in a medical coma until September 7, 2020, and managed to live through it partially because the Neptune opposition was not exact, and there was a protective grand earth trine from progressed Saturn, natal Jupiter, and transiting Jupiter. Luck was on his side. It wasn’t his time yet.

Navalny’s death is clearly poising likely through his food. He died at 2:17 PM local time, about two hours after lunch. This is not a coincidence.

What motivated this man to be a martyr for his country? To be a thorn in Putin’s authoritarian side? Let’s look at what drove him.
