I’ve been laying low on the topic of the 2024 election for several reasons. In 2020, before the Trump vs. Biden election, it was clear that Trump wouldn’t win. Privately, in my astrology class, we talked about the fact that the election took place during an eclipse, and the last time that happened was when the president (FDR) died in his last term. We discussed Biden winning the second term and Kamala becoming president by default shortly thereafter. Of course, I never talked about this publicly because it would include predicting Biden’s transition. I never wanted to go there. I hope pre-empting this possibility by Harris running will help keep Biden here longer.
The first time I heard Kamala Harris speak, I was in my car, listening to NPR, and there was a news story about Northern California. She was then district attorney for San Francisco, and I thought to myself, wow, there’s something about this person. She’s a star. She struck me as a brilliant fighter, a firebrand.
