I’ve been thinking a lot (for many years) about the prophecies of the end times in the bible in a secular way. While I don’t believe that God is punishing as the bible describes, and I don’t believe that God is anything like the way He/She is laid out in those pages, I do think that people with the gift of prophecy exist in all cultures. That religion and its culture are the dominant philosophical influence in ours.
