Baba Vanga, Nostradamus & Prophecy

According to a prophecy of Baba Vanga, the fate of the future will be decided this year, on August 15th. If you haven’t heard of Baba Vanga, she was a Bulgarian prophet who predicted many things that came true, as well as others that did not. Like all prophets and psychics, she was not entirely accurate. Experts rate her predictions at 80% accuracy, statistically in line with the average of the greatest psychics.

Why, you may ask, can’t a psychic or prophet be 100 percent accurate? Many claim Nostradamus was able to come at least very close to that, but that is because he leaves so many vagaries that one could attribute his words to almost anything. Baba Vanga was particular, but even then, her prophecies have a bit of play in them. She predicted metal birds hitting the Twin Towers, a black US president, an unusual or eccentric president (Trump), a war in Europe, and the rise of Russia. Many of the dates she gave were off, but this is to be expected, if you are a psychic, this is always a bad idea. Don’t give specific dates. That never works out.

Psychics, prophets, and astrologers can not be 100 percent accurate because people have free will. Things can change with tremendous effort. The reason great psychics/prophets get it right 80% of the time is that most people do not change much; people tend to be creatures of habit. Psychics and prophets read the strongest, most likely timeline or deepest stream of intentions. Timing is difficult as well because there are many opportunities for something to come into play, and depending on where people are in their growth and their intersection with other people’s growth cycles, the universe gives us many opportunities for fated events. This is particularly true with transition points in a natal chart. I often think of the possibility of death as a bunch of stops on a train line. There are multiple opportunities throughout one’s life, but one final stop we can not avoid. Depending on circumstances, one can get off the train earlier if the right confluence of events and decisions occurs, but there is nothing we can do about the final destination.
