Horary astrology is the divinational side of astrology. You may be thinking, I thought astrology was a form of divination. True, yes, it is. We can look at a natal chart, progressions, and transits and garner future influences and possibilities. But what happens if you lose your keys? Or do you want a specific answer to a specific question, like whether Biden will win the 2024 election? Will Trump go to jail? Stuff like that. Stuff that may have implications with coming transits and progressions but isn’t entirely clear. In Western tropical astrology, we can see a lot: the personality, circumstances, and the potential of what will come and how it will turn out. Still, you can’t give a definitive yes/no answer to a question under normal circumstances, which is where horary astrology comes in.
Horary astrology is also stellar for finding things. I found my writing partner’s rogue cat (back in the day) at least half a dozen times. The most dramatic find was when I used horary astrology to determine the cat was across the alley in an apartment building (one of many behind my partner’s house) on the second floor at the very far end of the building, stuck in the attic. Even I was amazed when we knocked on the door, told the woman about the missing cat, and asked, “Have you heard any strange noises coming from your ceiling?” She told us her dog had been barking at the ceiling. She let us come in. We opened a tile in the ceiling of her bathroom, and the cat fell out! This event definitely boosted my faith in horary astrology!
As you will see, horary astrology takes some finesse and is quite complicated. Using the tarot in a yes/no spread is faster and easier, but I find the answers in horary to be more definitive and less ephemeral. While the tarot is also accurate, it tends to be centered on the now’s energy. Astrology takes several steps back and, by its very nature, has a cosmic view that tends to be better at telling the future. A tarot reading will give you stuff that will happen but no time frame to hang it on. Astrology will give you periods when stuff will happen, giving it a more concrete feel.
So, without further ado, let’s look at some very specific questions about the 2024 election, starting with the question, “Will Trump be found criminally guilty in his upcoming March 25th trial?”
